Design considerations

The location affects the construction.

Exposure, ground conditions, access and intended use influence the material and detailing. These points are resolved before timber is ordered.

Materials & construction

The material must suit the work.

Oak is well suited to substantial outdoor seating, but timber species, section sizes and fixing details depend on the design, location and intended maintenance. The quotation explains the proposed material and how it will weather outdoors.

Traditional joinery is used where it provides the right result, alongside accurate modern machining and production control. Joints, fixings and replaceable components are selected for outdoor exposure, inspection and future repair.

Quoted to specification

Price depends on the timber, dimensions, quantity, components, finish, delivery, access and installation. Albion quotes each requirement against a written scope.
