Products are made to suit their location and intended use. Suitable timber, sound joinery, exterior-grade fixings and sensible construction details all matter, particularly when the product must remain outdoors for many years.

British timber & manufacture

Use the right material, then make it last.

Where practical, Albion aims to use British-grown timber and work with British suppliers and manufacturers. If European oak or a durable softwood is better suited to the use, availability or budget, that is explained clearly.

Species, origin, fixings and finish are stated in the quotation. Drainage, exposure and future repair are considered as part of the construction from the start.

  • Provenance and component information available where agreed
  • Drawings, inspections and photographic production records where agreed
  • Care, repair and maintenance options discussed for each project

About Albion

Founded with a straightforward aim: to make things properly.

Nathan Russell has more than nine years of experience in joinery and the manufacture of outdoor timber products.

Albion rejects the idea that outdoor products should be made cheaply, allowed to deteriorate and then replaced. A well-made timber product should be maintained, repaired and kept in service for as long as practical.
