Product overview

Proportioned for regular use

Pedestrian gates are often used more frequently than larger entrance gates. Comfortable operation, sensible clearances and a latch that suits the users are therefore important. The supporting posts, adjoining fence or wall and finished ground level are considered before the gate is made.

Suitable for

  • Estate and garden paths
  • Parks and visitor routes
  • Schools, hospitality and managed grounds
  • Private entrances and side access

Materials & construction

Good timber, clearly stated.

Oak is selected and detailed for exterior use, with suitable clearances, drainage and durable fixings. British-grown timber is preferred where the specification and supply allow; the quotation identifies the proposed species, origin, ironmongery and finish.

Maintenance & repair

Made for maintenance and repair.

Routine inspection should cover the hinges, latch, post stability and ground clearance. The gate is intended to be maintained, with hardware and suitable components replaced individually where practical.
