Product overview

Controlled access that remains practical to operate

The barrier needs room to open safely, sufficient support at the hanging post and a clear closing arrangement at the receiving end. Vehicle types, frequency of use, visibility and who will operate it all influence the final construction and ironmongery.

Suitable for

  • Estate and forestry tracks
  • Country parks and managed landscapes
  • Maintenance and service routes
  • Private land and controlled vehicle entrances

Materials & construction

Good timber, clearly stated.

Timber sections, ironmongery and ground-contact details are selected around the span, exposure and expected handling. The quotation identifies the proposed species, fixings and operating hardware rather than applying one standard arrangement to every route.

Maintenance & repair

Made for maintenance and repair.

The hanging post, pivot, barrier arm, catch, locking hardware and ground clearances should be inspected regularly. Components exposed to repeated handling or impact can be repaired or replaced individually where the remaining installation is sound.
