Tell us about your project.
Send what you have. Approximate dimensions, photographs, drawings and a few details about how the product will be used are all helpful. Nothing needs to be final at this stage.
Frequently asked questions
A few useful answers.
Are products available in standard and non-standard sizes?
Yes. Albion can manufacture established designs, adapt dimensions and details, or develop a new product for a particular requirement. Final dimensions are set to suit the site, intended use and specification.
Which timbers do you use?
British-grown oak is preferred where it is suitable, available and commercially practical. European oak and appropriate durable softwoods may also be offered. The proposed species and origin are identified in the quotation.
Do you supply outside Surrey?
Yes. Site visits, delivery and installation are centred on Surrey and the South East. UK-wide supply is available for appropriate projects, with wider installation considered according to the project, access and delivery arrangements.
Can I order supply-only?
Yes. Albion can quote for supply only, delivery, managed installation or installation coordination. The quotation states exactly what is included.
How are quotations calculated?
Cost depends on the design, timber, dimensions, quantity, ironmongery, finish, delivery, site access and installation. Indicative prices are shown for a limited number of repeatable products; the final quotation is prepared for the actual requirement.
What are your payment terms?
Payment terms are confirmed with each quotation. Made-to-order products normally require a deposit before materials are ordered and manufacture begins. Larger projects may be invoiced in agreed stages, linked where appropriate to drawing approval, manufacture, delivery and installation. Approved account customers may be offered payment terms of up to 30 days, subject to approval and a valid purchase order where required.
What information helps you quote accurately?
A site postcode, photographs, approximate dimensions, quantity, intended use, preferred material, required timescale and any drawings or written specification are useful. An initial idea is also enough to begin a discussion.
What are your lead times?
Lead time depends on the amount of design work, timber availability, quantity, current workload and installation planning. We will give you a realistic programme with the quotation or confirm it before order.
How should external oak be maintained?
Oak can be left to weather naturally or maintained to a chosen appearance. Good drainage, suitable fixings, sensible ground details and periodic inspection are important. Product-specific care advice can be provided with the order.
Can you repair or replace an existing product?
Yes, where the existing construction and condition make repair worthwhile. Send us photographs and approximate dimensions and we will take an initial look; a site visit may then be recommended.
How do memorial seating enquiries work?
Provide the intended location, preferred style, wording, any plaque or inscription requirement, and details of the landowner’s approval. Albion can then develop an appropriate specification and installation scope.
Do you work with councils, contractors and landscape professionals?
Yes. Albion welcomes direct enquiries, tender opportunities and supply-chain discussions. Drawings, product schedules, material information and project records can be included in the scope.
